"they will be flowering long after he is dead"
one
Decided to spend MLK Day watching a few of his speeches. This line in “What Is Your Life’s Blueprint?” reminded me so much of the film Perfect Days: “If it befalls your lot to become a street sweeper, sweep streets like Michelangelo painted pictures.” Was delighted to pull up the trailer to see that it actually opens with a shot of a man sweeping the streets:
The soundtrack is also amazing.

I can’t stop thinking about this Bo Burnham quote:
“We used to colonize land. That’s where the money was to be made. We colonized the whole earth. There were no other places for business and capitalism to expand into. And then they realized: human attention! They’re now trying to colonize every minute of your life. That is what these people are trying to do. Every single free moment you have is a moment you could be looking at your phone and they could be gathering information to target ads at you.”

“What if we started from the acceptance that there will always be too much to do? More meaningful things to spend our time on than we will get time? What if we started from the perspective that the future was always going to be in some sense sort of radically unknowable?” - Oliver Burkeman, Tricycle Talks
